Training of staff at Tier 1 level to introduce core concepts of trauma informed care and "what to do" strategies. Training begins with focus on adult health in school-wide training and is supplemented with additional training of a small team of staff identified for behavioral/emotional support. Tier 1 training (1 hour) - Will include understanding concepts of brain development, relevance in schools, learning basic "how to" regulation strategies and why they work.

Staff will be introduced to concept of Zen Den and data surrounding it's use in schools. Small team training (Half Day) - Development, utilization of and best practices for a "Zen Den". Will include instruction on use of the Zen Den, developing understanding of the research behind these evidence-based practices, and guidance for future use and implementation across tiered levels of support.
